It gives me immense joy and a deep sense of responsibility to address you as the Provincial of the Chennai Jesuit Province and the President of Loyola College, Mettala. Rooted in the rich legacy of Jesuit education, inspired by the vision of St. Ignatius of Loyola, our institution is committed to forming men and women of competence, conscience, compassion, and commitment. We believe that education is not merely the acquisition of knowledge, but the holistic formation of individuals who are intellectually competent, morally upright, socially responsible, and spiritually grounded.

Loyola College, Mettala, stands as a beacon of hope and transformation, especially for students from rural and marginalized communities. Our mission is to provide inclusive and value-based education that empowers young minds to rise above limitations and contribute meaningfully to society. In doing so, we remain faithful to the Jesuit ideal of “cura personalis” care for the whole person.
