ROAD SAFETY CLUB

A Road Safety Club is an organization formed in colleges to create awareness about traffic rules, safe driving practices, and accident prevention. The main aim of the club is to develop responsible road users and reduce road accidents. The Namakkal District administration organized an Road Safety Awarness Programme on 08.01.2026 10 am at the District Collectorate with the aim of educating the students, public, and officials on the reduced road accidents, traffic regulations,safe driving practice, and pedestration safety. The programme was conducted under the participation of various government departments, educational institutions and NGOs. The program began with an inaugural seassion in which the chief guest highlighted the imporatance of road safety and the role of youth in promoting safe road practice Resource persons explained common causes of road accidents such as over-speeding,drunks,non-use of helmets and seats belts,and careless pedestrian behavior. Various awareness activities such as speeches, and interactive sessions were conducted to engage the participats.The participants actively took part in discussions and clarified their doubts regarding traffic rules.
